John Scalzi is an American science fiction author and columnist. He is best known for his Old Man’s War series, which includes the novels Old Man’s War, The Ghost Brigades, The Last Colony, and Zoe’s Tale. He has also written several non-fiction books, including Your Hate Mail Will Be Graded, and a collection of essays, entitled Whatever.
The Last Emperox is the third book in the Imperial Radch trilogy. It follows the story of Breq, an artificial intelligence who is the last of her kind. Breq is on a mission to find the new emperor, who she believes is in danger. Along the way, she must deal with the political machinations of the Imperial Court, as well as the threat of the alien forces who are seeking to destroy the empire.
