David Baldacci is a famous American author who has written over thirty novels, including several bestsellers. He was born in Richmond, Virginia, in 1960, and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Virginia School of Law. Baldacci began his writing career as a screenwriter, but he soon turned to writing novels. His first novel, Absolute Power, was published in 1996 and was adapted into a film starring Clint Eastwood in 1997. Baldacci has since written several other successful novels, including The Simple Truth (1998), Saving Faith (1999), and Last Man Standing (2001).
