The J. D. Robb series is a series of futuristic romance novels by American author Nora Roberts, writing under the pseudonym J. D. Robb. The series is set in the “Future Crime” division of the New York Police Department, in a time when technology has advanced to the point where people can be brought back from the dead. The hero of the series is Eve Dallas, a homicide detective who investigates murders that have been committed by people who have been resurrected.

The characters are police officers who investigate a series of murders. The feature content includes a look at the investigation and the suspects.

The characters of other books J. D. Robb share many similarities. All of the characters are strong, independent women who are able to take care of themselves. They all have a strong sense of justice and are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in. Additionally, they all are intelligent and resourceful, able to think on their feet and solve problems.

The Apprentice in Death is yet another excellent installment in J. D. Robb’s In Death series. In this book, Lieutenant Eve Dallas is called in to investigate the murder of a high-ranking member of the New York City government.

The victim, Adrianne Cascia, was apparently killed by a sniper while attending a gala event. As Eve begins to investigate, she discovers that there may be more to Adrianne’s death than meets the eye.

As always, J. D. Robb’s writing is excellent. The characters are richly drawn and the plot is fascinating. The Apprentice in Death is a must-read for fans of the In Death series.
