The Bad For You was written in response to the overwhelming number of requests the band received to play at clubs and festivals.

“It’s not a lot of money, but it’s enough to put some meat on the bones of the budget,” said Coun. Lorne Young. “But I don’t think it’s enough to be a significant game changer for the city.”

Young said the money would be good for the city, but it would not solve the city’s financial woes.

“I think it’s a good deal. I think it’s a good start,” he said.

The city has been struggling financially for years and has a $30-million deficit.

The city has been trying to sell the Bad For You? brand for years. It was most recently valued at $4 million.
