Jennifer Worth was a British nurse, midwife and author. She worked in the slums of London’s East End in the 1950s and 1960s, and wrote about her experiences in her memoirs, which were adapted into the BBC television series Call the Midwife.

Born in 1935, Jennifer Worth was raised in a middle-class home in England. After completing her training as a nurse and midwife, she worked in a variety of hospitals before being assigned to a position in the East End of London. There, she cared for mothers and babies in some of the poorest and most rundown neighborhoods in the city.

Worth’s experiences in the East End were the subject of her memoirs, which were adapted into the popular BBC television series Call the Midwife. The series, which ran for six seasons, earned critical acclaim and was a ratings success, becoming one of the most popular shows on British television.

Worth died in 2011 at the age of 75.

This series of work will explore the ways in which we can use technology to improve our lives. We will look at how technology can help us to be more efficient and productive, and how it can help us to connect with others and stay informed. We will also examine the potential downside of technology, and how it can be used to control and manipulate us. Ultimately, we will aim to provide a balanced view of technology, and its impact on our lives.

The Call the Midwife series follows the nurses, midwives and nuns from Nonnatus House, who provide care to the expectant mothers of the East End of London in the 1950s. The series focuses on the nurses’ personal lives and the challenges they face in their work, as they deal with everything from poverty and illness to births and deaths.
