James S. A. Corey is the pen name used by collaborators Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck. The two began writing jointly in 2011, and their first novel, Leviathan Wakes, was published that year. They have since published eight more novels in the Expanse series, with the ninth, Persepolis Rising, due out in December 2017.
Abraham is an award-winning science fiction and fantasy author whose solo works include the Long Price Quartet and the Dagger and the Coin series. Franck is a television writer and producer whose credits include The Expanse, Theeter, and Better Call Saul.
