In the story, the protagonist, a young woman named Sarah, is on a date with a man named Matt. They are at a bar, and Sarah is getting drunk. Matt is trying to get her to leave with him, but Sarah is adamant about staying. She wants to drink more and have fun. Matt gets angry and tries to leave, but Sarah grabs his arm and begs him to stay. He does, and they end up sleeping together. The next morning, Matt is gone and Sarah is left alone in the hotel room.
