The Dumb Witness was adapted into a movie in 1937 and a TV show in 1954.

Dumb Witness is a work of detective fiction by Agatha Christie, first published in the UK by William Collins & Sons in February 1937 and in the US by Dodd, Mead and Company in the same month. The UK edition retailed at seven shillings and sixpence (7/6) and the US edition at $2.00.

The novel features the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and was Christie’s personal favourite of all her works.

The story is set in England, and revolves around the murder of Emily Inglethorp, who is poisoned. Poirot is called in to investigate, and, with the help of his friend Captain Hastings, he eventually unmaskes the killer.

Some special characters of Dumb Witness are Poirot, Inspector Japp, and Miss Lemon.

I think the Dumb Witness is a great book. It is a mystery novel by Agatha Christie and it is one of her best-known works.
