There is nothing special about the characters of One, Two, Buckle My Shoe.
A couple of weeks ago I was reading about Hugh Fraser and his career. I’ve loved Hugh Fraser for a long time, since I first saw him in Agatha Christie’s Poirot. He’s a very good actor and a very handsome man. He also happens to be my mother’s cousin. We’ve never met, but I think he’s a very interesting person.
Anyway, I was reading about him and I came across this quote:
“I was asked to do the voice of Agatha Christie’s Poirot in the 1980s and I thought, ‘That’s interesting, I wonder how they’ll do that?’ I was sent the scripts and I read them and I thought, ‘My God, this is brilliant.’ I was so impressed.”
This quote really struck me because it’s so rare to find someone who is so enthusiastic about something they’ve been asked to do. Hugh Fraser clearly loves his job and he’s very proud of the work he does. I think this is a great attitude to have.

I do, however, have a problem with Hugh Fraser. I always have to change the channel when he is on. I just find him very difficult to listen to, with his very high-pitched voice, his silly mannerisms, his constant giggling and his tendency to get overexcited.
It is the only thing I don’t like about the programme. If only I could bear to listen to him I would thoroughly enjoy the programme.
