Sabriel

Sabriel is a fantasy novel by Australian author Garth Nix, published in 1995. It is the first book of the Old Kingdom series. The heroine, Sabriel, is a young woman who must travel into the Old Kingdom to rescue her father, who has been stranded there. Along the way she learns about her own magical powers and the true nature of the Kingdom.

This Sabriel earned the number one spot in the rankings.

There are many things that make listeners interested in the Sabriel. The story is unique and engaging, the characters are likable and relatable, and the world-building is rich and detailed. Additionally, the narrator, Kate Rudd, does an excellent job of bring the story to life.
