Super Powereds: Year 1

Drew Hayes is a cartoonist and author who has been working in the comics industry since the early 2000s. He is best known for his work on the webcomic Supernatural Law and the graphic novel series It’s a Bird…, both of which he has written and illustrated.

Hayes began his career in the comics industry working as an inker for other artists. He quickly began to establish himself as a talented artist in his own right, and began to work on his own projects. His first major success came with the webcomic Supernatural Law, which he launched in 2002. The comic follows the exploits of a law firm that specializes in cases involving the supernatural.

It’s a Bird…, Hayes’s first graphic novel, was published in 2008. The book is a semi-autobiographical account of Hayes’s battle with cancer. It was met with critical acclaim, and was nominated for several awards.

Hayes continues to write and illustrate both Supernatural Law and It’s a Bird…. He has also been involved in a number of other comics projects, including the creation of the webcomic Unnatural Law.

There is no specific series of work that will be written for this module. However, students will be expected to produce a number of different pieces of writing during the course of the module. These may include essays, reports, reviews, and so on.

Super Powereds: Year 1 is the first in a series of young adult novels by Drew Hayes. The novel follows a group of teenagers with extraordinary abilities as they try to navigate the world of high school and superheroics.
