The Alloy of Law is a 2011 fantasy novel by Brandon Sanderson and the fourth book in the Mistborn series. It is set about 300 years after the events of the original trilogy, in a period where the magical metal allomancy has been forgotten and replaced by technology. The story follows Waxillium Ladrian, a lawman in the rough-and-tumble frontier town of Elendel, as he investigates a series of murders.
