The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek

Kim Michele Richardson is an American author of historical fiction, suspense, and young adult novels. Richardson’s debut novel, The Unfinished Work of Elizabeth D, was a finalist for the 2008 Bellwether Prize. Her second novel, The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek, was a New York Times Bestseller, a USA Today Bestseller, an Indie Bestseller, and a Barnes & Noble Bestseller. Her third novel, Lies We Tell Ourselves, was a Junior Library Guild Selection. Her fourth novel, The Weight of Blood, was a Kindle Bestseller, an Indie Bestseller, and a Barnes & Noble Bestseller.

There is no specific series of work that will be written, but rather a variety of pieces that will be written on an as-needed basis. The goal is to provide timely, accurate, and insightful information on a variety of topics related to the field of psychology. These pieces will be aimed at both practitioners and laypeople, and will cover topics such as research findings, psychological theories, and ethical issues. In addition to writing, I will also be available for consulting and speaking engagements on these topics.

The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson is the first book in the Troublesome Creek series. The series is set in the fictional town of Troublesome Creek, Kentucky and follows the lives of the residents as they grapple with the challenges of life in the Appalachian Mountains. The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek follows the story of Cussy Mary Carter, the last of the blue-skinned people of Troublesome Creek. Cussy is a member of the Pack Horse Library Project, a Depression-era program that delivered books to rural communities. Cussy must overcome the prejudice of her fellow townspeople as she tries to bring the joy of reading to the people of Troublesome Creek.
