The Lake House was adapted into a movie in 2006 and a TV show in 2020.
The film follows architect Alex Wyler (Keanu Reeves) as he correspondence with doctor Kate Forster (Sandra Bullock) through a mysterious mailbox. The two develop a strong bond and eventually fall in love with each other. However, they are unable to meet due to the fact that they live in different time periods. Alex is living in 2004, while Kate is living in 2006. The film explores the concept of time travel and fate as the two characters work to find a way to be together.

The Lake House is a beautiful place to stay. The staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and the view from the porch is wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.
