Tower of Dawn

Sarah J. Mass’s Tower of Dawn is the penultimate book in her New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series. The series tells the story of Celaena Sardothien, a young woman who is offered her freedom from a life of slavery if she agrees to compete in a competition to become the King’s Champion. Celaena wins the competition, but quickly realizes that the king is a ruthless ruler who will stop at nothing to keep his throne. Celaena must decide whether to help the king or join the resistance and fight against him.

Tower of Dawn picks up after the events of Empire of Storms, with Celaena stranded in a strange land. She meets Chaol, the captain of the king’s guard, who is also stranded there. The two must find a way to escape and return to the kingdom before the king’s forces find them.

Overall, I enjoyed Tower of Dawn. I thought it was a well-written conclusion to the series. I liked that it wrapped up all of the loose ends and gave the characters a satisfying ending.
